Cheese Garlic Bread with Honey Dip Recipe

Ingredients

✤ Dough

  • 200g Bread flour
  • 5g(0.5tbsp) Instant dry yeast
  • 8g(1tbsp) Sugar
  • 4g(0.5tbsp) Salt
  • 15g(2tbsp) Olive oil (Cooking oil can be used)
  • 120ml Warm water

✤ Garlic Sauce

  • 10g(0.5tbsp) Minced garlic
  • 20g(2tbsp) Melted unsalted butter
  • 30g(1big tbsp) cream cheese

✤ Toppings

  • 280g Mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Oregano (can be omitted) Parsley can be used

✤ Dipping sauce

  • Honey
  • Tomato Sauce

Instructions

  1. To begin, gather all the ingredients mentioned above. These simple pantry staples will come together to create a mouthwatering treat.
  2. Start by dissolving the yeast in warm water. This step activates the yeast and ensures a fluffy, well-risen bread. Once dissolved, add the sugar to the yeast mixture and stir until combined. In a separate bowl, mix the salt with the bread flour. Then, gradually add the flour mixture to the yeast mixture, stirring continuously.
  3. Now comes the kneading process. Massage the dough with your hands until it becomes well-lumped and free of any raw flour. At this point, add the olive oil and continue kneading until the dough is smooth and elastic. If the dough feels sticky, don’t be afraid to dust it with some extra flour and knead it further until it becomes manageable.
  4. Once the dough reaches the desired consistency, let it ferment in a warm place until it doubles or triples in size. The ideal temperature for fermentation is around 36℃ to 40℃. This may take approximately 1 hour, but keep an eye on the dough to ensure it rises properly.
  5. After the dough has risen, it’s time to prepare the creamy garlic sauce. In a bowl, whisk together the melted unsalted butter, room-temperature cream cheese, and minced garlic until well combined. This sauce will infuse the bread with rich, garlicky goodness.
  6. Divide the dough into two portions and fold them inward to release any trapped gas. Sprinkle some extra flour on a clean surface and flatten each portion of dough to create a square shape. Transfer the flattened dough onto an oven pan and shape it like a crumpled towel.
  7. Now it’s time to apply the garlic sauce generously onto the surface of the dough. Top it off with mozzarella cheese, oregano (if desired), and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. Be mindful not to oversalt the dish – moderation is key.
  8. Preheat your oven to 210°C (410°F) and place the prepared cheese garlic bread inside. Bake for approximately 8-10 minutes or until the bread turns golden brown and the cheese melts to perfection. The baking time may vary depending on your oven specifications, so keep a close eye on it to avoid overcooking.
  9. Once the bread is baked, remove it from the oven and cut it into piano key-sized pieces. The aroma of freshly baked cheesy garlic bread will entice you to dig in immediately. Pull apart a piece and relish the stretchy cheese threads that form as you take your first bite. The creamy garlic flavor is a pleasant surprise hidden beneath the surface, adding an extra layer of deliciousness.
  10. For an additional twist, try dipping the cheese garlic bread in honey. The sweet and savory combination creates a symphony of flavors in your mouth. Alternatively, dip the bread in tomato sauce for a fresh pizza-like experience. It’s incredible how this simple yet flavorful cheese bread can satisfy your taste buds without being overly fancy.
