Ingredients

  • 3 chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper
  • 60 g flour (1/4 cup)
  • 3 1/2 tbsp butter or 2 1/2 tbsp olive oil or any
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 1/2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • add 90 g (1/3 cup) honey (or maple syrup)
  • Chives

Directions

  1. First, gather all the ingredients you’ll need. For this recipe, you’ll need three chicken breasts, salt, black pepper, three tablespoons of butter, 60 grams of flour, four cloves of garlic, 90 grams of honey (or maple syrup), one tablespoon of soy sauce, one and a half tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, and some chives for garnish.
  2. To begin, season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. This will help enhance the flavor of the dish. Next, take the flour and dredge the chicken in it, making sure to shake off any excess flour.
  3. In a large skillet, melt two tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Once the butter has melted and the skillet is hot, carefully place the chicken breasts in the skillet. Fry them over medium heat for about 5-6 minutes, or until they turn golden brown. Make sure to cook both sides evenly.
  4. While the chicken is cooking, it’s time to prepare the sauce. Mince the garlic cloves and set them aside. Once the chicken is golden brown on both sides, remove it from the skillet and set it aside temporarily. In the same skillet, add the remaining half tablespoon of butter and let it melt. Then, add the minced garlic and sauté it briefly until fragrant.
  5. Now, it’s time to add the remaining ingredients to the sauce. Pour in the honey (or maple syrup), followed by the soy sauce and apple cider vinegar. Stir everything together and let the sauce come to a simmer. Allow it to simmer for about 2-3 minutes, or until it slightly thickens. This will help the flavors meld together and create a delicious glaze for the chicken.
  6. Once the sauce has thickened, return the chicken breasts to the skillet. Coat them well with the sauce, making sure each piece is evenly covered. Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for another minute or so, allowing the flavors to penetrate the meat.
  7. Finally, it’s time to plate the dish. Transfer the chicken to a serving platter and garnish it with some fresh chives for a pop of color and added freshness. Take a moment to appreciate the aroma and presentation of your creation.

And there you have it – a mouthwatering sweet and savory chicken dish that will leave you wanting more. I hope you enjoyed following along with this recipe as much as I enjoyed making it. If you’re looking to add some variety to your dinner rotation, this recipe is definitely worth a try.
